2018 Annual TB Report Now Available

The annual Tuberculosis (TB) report is now available in the Tuberculosis Data and Surveillance section.

The annual report highlights the number of cases reported in Ohio for 2018. It includes a demographic breakdown for Ohio's cases presenting data on tuberculosis disease by age, sex and race for Ohio and four select counties, which are Cuyahoga County, Franklin County, Hamilton County, and Summit County.  Special-interest statistics are also available for pediatric tuberculosis cases, foreign-born tuberculosis cases and drug-resistant tuberculosis cases. Also part of the report is data on tuberculosis disease and disease rates by county and seven major cities, which are: Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Toledo, and Youngstown. Lastly, the report includes a map displaying the number of TB cases by county.

 

The report, made up of three documents is also available for download in the "Attachment" section.

 

Also available, via the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is annual data on TB in the United States. CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) highlights the national TB case trends for 2018. To access the report, click here.
