Tuberculosis Data and Surveillance

Overview

The TB Surveillance program tracks tuberculosis in Ohio. The information it collects is used to target TB prevention and control efforts. The program maintains a registry of TB cases and suspected cases to ensure that these individuals receive appropriate diagnostic services and treatment. With the emergence of drug-resistant TB, careful monitoring of medications and of the drug-resistant disease is important in curing those infected and in preventing the spread of resistant strains.
