William (Will) McHugh is the Assistant Director for the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). Will returned to the agency in 2019 after spending four years in the private sector as a consultant for hospitals, local health departments, long-term care facilities, federally qualified health centers, and behavioral health providers. McHugh has more than 20 years of previous experience at ODH. His ODH experience has involved a variety of programs such as early intervention, the public health laboratory, infectious disease, communicable disease, and public health preparedness.
McHugh holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and history, a master’s degree in human resource management and a doctoral degree in management, with a specialization in organizational leadership.
