Lindsay’s Law: Protecting Youth Athletes From Sudden Cardiac Arrest

Lindsay’s Law (Ohio Revised Code Ohio Revised Code 3313.53103707.58 and 3707.59) requires Ohio youth sports coaches to annually complete annual training on sudden cardiac arrest and requires youth athletes and their parents/guardians to review materials about the warning signs of sudden cardiac arrest. It also requires youth athletes at increased risk of sudden cardiac arrest to be cleared by a physician before playing and requires coaches to remove youth who faint from athletic activity. The following entertainment businesses are currently permitted to operate as long as they follow the Consumer, Retail, Services & Entertainment guidance and any other applicable associated guidance that is specific to their business: Batting cages, bowling alleys, and miniature golf.

The following entertainment businesses are currently permitted to operate as long as they follow the Consumer, Retail, Services & Entertainment guidance and any other applicable associated guidance that is specific to their business on June 10th, 2020: Aquariums, art galleries, batting cages, bowling alleys, country clubs, ice skating rinks, indoor family entertainment centers, indoor sports facilities, laser tag facilities, miniature golf, movie theaters (indoor), museums, playgrounds (outdoor), public recreation centers, roller skating rinks, social clubs, trampoline parks, and zoos.
