The report below reflects new and cumulative COVID-19 cases reported to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) by child care providers, since March 23, 2020. Programs are required to report cases to the local Health Department and ODJFS. A report of COVID-19 by a program should not be interpreted as an indicator that the program is not following proper procedures—program cases can be a reflection of the overall situation in the broader community. Families and staff should always feel free to ask questions of the programs or to reach out to ODJFS for guidance.
Definitions are as follows:
- Type A Family Child Care Home: The residence of the administrator in which child care is provided for seven to twelve children at one time.
- Type B Family Child Care Home: The residence of the provider in which child care is provided for one to six children at one time.
